Microsoft is entering the world of lightweight second grade antivirus applicaitons with it’s new Morro Antivirus.This will be nothing like the Kaspersky Internet Security Suite or the Avira premium Suite. It is a simple standalone antivirus with a single dedicated task. As always, neowin got a peekinto the new antivirus interface and here are five more things about morro ::

1. Morro is a codename for microsoft’s Antivirus
2. It is to be launched in the second half of 2009.
3. Morrro will be absolutely free and for low end computers.
4. Morro will replace the OneCare Suite, which performed poorly.
5. It is believed to be a good challenge to current giants.

With windows7 spreading like rapid fire, this is the next product awaited at Microsoft.
