Google is not only the one with this idea of collaborative editing. There is another application Offisync available with collaborative editing features comparable to that of Google Wave. Just like Google Wave, with this new application as well, we can create synchronous data, being edited in live by a huge group.
Offisync is available for download as a beta product. It uses Microsoft Office as the front-end. This makes it accessible and usable by clients as a desktop software. Then it goes a step further to integrate with Google services like Google docs and Google search as back-end to run the synchronization. This, gives the software it’s power of usage. Offisync has made embedding documents, networking, transferring files and collaborative editing of documents, a matter of fun.
Documents can be saved both on your PC as well as on Google docs. It has options to save, open and delete right from the desktop Office Interface.
This makes it a proper cloud application in every concept of it. Try it out at : Offisync Homepage
