Google is never short of ideas, just another proof follows. Firstly it introduces a one spot rss feed reader as Google Reader, and then when people cry offline, it brings Google Reader to the desktop, offline. Well, this post comes ages after the feature came out but this is for the many people who have not noticed and are still busy downloading softwares and add-ons to read feeds offline.

Reader
The feature can be enabled using a green download icon beside your email ID on the top right corner of Google reader.
Google reader offline mode
The moment you click on the icon, your feeds start getting saved to your system. Give it some time if it is the first time you are doing this. Should not take more than 3 minutes. The best thing is, it shows the number of items and the progress as a percentage.
