UMD is a proprietary media format from Sony which is used in the PSP. It can hold upto It can hold up to 1.8 GB of data and is the first optical disc format to be used for a handheld video game system. This tutorial will let you backup a game UMD disc into an ISO file common to standard CDs and DVDs.
Steps
- You need M33 custom firmware.
- Put umd in, from xmb goto vsh menu, then change usb device to UMD disc, then go back to xmb.
- Scroll left to usb connection, connect usb cord, and connect to computer
- Open the removal drive u will see a file called umd9660.iso copy this file to ur computer
- Exit usb connection, go back to VSH menu, change back usb device to memory stick
- Exit and connect usb again.
Warning
- Dont remove the UMD while you are transfering the .iso file to your PC.
- Make sure your battery is fully charged.
- Not possible in PSP with sony official firmware.
