Firefox Addons
We are all habituated to download “stuff” from the Internet and most of these links come off forums and blogs. But it gets annoying when we get a link out of google but as soon as we visit the site, it asks for a registration to browse through any further.
Just a few days back, I came accross a cool firefox addon which allows you to view any site without logging in. This addon goes by the name “UserAgentSwitcher” and is also available for a variety of other browsers and has also included support for songbird recently.
User agent Switcher allows you to switch your user agent to any search crawler, search bot or web spider which are generally allowed access to the whole of a website’s displayable content.
This amazing plugin developed by Chris Pederick is one of my favourite firefox addons and saves a lot of time wasted on registration.

O yeah it’s really a very useful plugin. Saves a lot of scratchy time.
Now you can stay focused on what you were working on.
What other browsers is it available for?
This is an interesting plugin. I generally use bugmenot.com to get into forums, but there are some cases when bugmenot fails. I used to rely on google cache in such cases. But now I can directly pretend to be google and get through.
Nice find.
ya, i relied on bugmenot for sometime before half of it’s passwords stopped working. It is available for flock, Seamonkey and Songbird.
You can add agent supports as well. See here :: http://techpatterns.com/forums/about304.html
